Social Media Deadline Approaching
This coming Monday, June 6th, is the last day to sign up for the Social Media 101 Class. The class is held at the Confluence Technology Center in Wenatchee.
This class gives students an overview of Social Media and how it can help their businesses. Although the class is targeted to Massage Therapists, anyone in a service profession can benefit and is welcome to attend.
If you have wanted to get more involved in Facebook, Blogging, Twitter or just know more about the major social media platforms, join me on Friday, June 10th, from 9:00-4:00 p.m.
The cost is $120.00 and includes 6 CE hours. You can register on-line .

June 1st Insurance Class Changed
After receiving some great feedback, we are delaying the currently insurance class and rescheduling it for later this summer. Also, it will be in a workshop format where you will get all the necessary paperwork and we will spend class time filling it out, answering questions and making sense of it all.
I will keep you posted for the new dates!
Insurance Intro Class
If you are considering becoming a preferred provider for insurance companies, this is the seminar for you. This is a brief two-hour class that reviews how to get started in the insurance world and also some options for outsourcing the billing.
It is $25.00 for two hours. The location of this class will be announced soon.
Pregnancy Massage Class
I am looking forward to the upcoming Pregnancy Massage class. Originally, it was on April 23rd but I needed to reschedule- I appreciate everyone’s flexibility with that!
Now, it is scheduled for May 16th and May 18th. As a result of some great feedback, I am dividing the class into two evenings instead of one long day. Class is from 5:30-8:30, Monday and Wednesday.
Please register on-line- the deadline is next Wednesday. Class will be held at the School of Therapeutic Touch in Wenatchee.
This is a great class for people who simply want to know how to do a safe pregnancy massage. I will talk about more advanced programs available for therapists who are considering Pregnancy Massage as a specialty.

Class re-vamping and announcements
I have a few changes coming up with Continuing Education classes.
The first and most important is that this Saturday’s pregnancy class is CANCELED!
Again: April 23rd Pregnancy Class is canceled! I will be rescheduling this one soon so check back soon.
Second, I have some pretty big changes coming up that I am very excited about. As soon as a few things are finalized I will make the big announcement. As a teaser….this is big, wonderful news for Continuing Education in the Wenatchee Valley!
Finally, I want to talk about the National Convention in Portland. It is very, very seldom that AMTA holds the National Convention on the west coast. This is a treat! For those of you that haven’t attended a conference or think you might not be interested, I would encourage you to give it a try. It is a fun gathering of your fellow therapists. The networking is fantastic. Additionally, you can pick up CE hours throughout the weekend. The nice thing about the convention is that you can attend as many days as you like. Come down for just a day and see the exhibitors or attend one of the presentations.
Our Washington chapter has a big desire to have a huge showing at the National Convention. We want to help make the west coast convention one of the biggest ever! But we need YOU to do it.
Every time I go to the conventions I have a GREAT time! I want you to all experience that too.
Also, if you are pressed for money, there are some volunteer opportunities that can help you with the cost of entrance. Contact for me for details and I will put you in touch with the right person.

Advanced Neck Class Review
I always enjoy teaching this class and last night was no exception. We had a class full of energetic people. I really enjoy see how these techniques work even after one session. Some of the students who had restrictive neck problems experienced immediate results. It is wonderful to be able to take that to our clients and get results quickly.
Thanks to all of you who came. It was great to see everyone and I look forward to seeing you again at Advanced Low Back in a couple weeks.
